Correspondence was received from Sergeant Lamont French of the Military Police, who advises that the Military Police are hosting the first ever Cross Canada Motorcycle Relay Ride in August 2009. This is a fund raising event in support of the Military Police Fund for Blind Children. They requested a small donation from our Chapter. Jim W. made a motion that we donate $50.00 to their cause. An amendment to motion was put forward by Ron R., that we up it to $100.00 if our financial system will allow it. The motion passed and we will be making a donation once our Treasurer advises what our cash situation is. Norm will correspond with Lamont French to assure our assistance to this most worthy cause.

Secretary's Report
I'm sorry to say that I didn't make the last meeting. Duty called. I'm sure my name was bandied about by everyone. All good, I'm sure. Anyway, we are planning to make the next meeting, on two wheels, of course! I read that the 50-50 draw didn't happen this past meeting. This will allow me to win the next one so everyone bring money! I hope everyone is out riding and enjoying this great weather we've been having. We have been working in the yard but riding whenever we get the chance. For all of you Harley naysayers out there, I now have over 37,000 km on our bike without a hiccup. The mark of a quality machine for sure.
Ride safe, far and often,
Abdul (the Magnificent)
Our next meeting will be held on Sunday July 19th 2009 at 11:30 AM at the ABC restaurant at the Day's Inn which is just south of the MGM restaurant on the south Island Highway in Nanaimo. They are located at 809 Island Highway. Their phone number is (250) 754-8171 in case you get lost. Come out and support your Chapter and I'm sure a good time will be had by all.
As usual, guests and prospective members are always welcome. If anyone requires more information about our organization, feel free to contact us via any of the e-mail addresses below.
